Slava Polishchuk is both an artist and an essayist. He was born in Russia, but currently lives and works in New York City. Since 2003, in collaboration with Asya Dodina, his work was exhibited in numerous museums and galleries, including The Pushkin State Museum of Fine Arts; The Russian Academy of Art, Moscow; Lithuanian State Museum of Art, Vilnius, Chelsea Art Museum, New York; Lithuania; B'nai B'rith Klutznic National Jewish Museum, Washington, DC; Pace University Gallery; Brooklyn College Gallery, New York. His works are included in public and private collections in The Tretyakov State Gallery, Moscow; Lithuanian State Museum of Jewish Art, Vilnius, Lithuania; Rutgers University, Zimmerly Art Museum, Norton Dodge Collection, New Jersey; The Paul Robeson Galleries, Rutgers University, Newark, New Jersey; Kolodzei Foundation; Brooklyn College, Pace University, Fox & Fowle Architects (New York). His awards and honors include Project Grant for Exhibition, NY State Council of the Arts; Award of Excellence, Firehouse Art Gallery, Nassau Community College, The Shaw Award in Painting, Brooklyn College, New York; The Mitchell Foundation Nominee; Jewish Artists Awards Finalist, The Ben Uri Gallery, London. He is a graduate of the Year 1905 Moscow Art School and Brooklyn College, NY.
