Raluca Cernahoschi teaches in the German and Russian Studies Department at Bates College. She has previously worked as a translator of technical manuals, computer programs, memoirs, and films and found her path to poetry translation through her extensive work with Romanian-German poetry. She is co-organizer of the International Poetry Festival and Conference Translations 2011 at Bates College.
